What happens when you centralize power... a.k.a. give it to the federal government. Let's take a look...

The Post office -- the price of a first class stamp goes up... and up... and up... and up and up and up...Synapse remembers when the price of a postage stamp was 18 cents. Now it's 44? 45? That's about a 250% raise. Meantime, they freeze hiring, and are downsizing, and there has been talk in the past about only delivering Monday through Friday.

Efficient they are not.

How about Social Security? Each working American pays into the system with every paycheck. In case you didn't know, that money is NOT saved up somewhere -- its utilized to pay current recipients. In other words, Synapse is working so that the disabled spouse can get the money. And in 30 years when I retire, my kids will be paying into the system to support MY old ass. See how it works?

And yet there will be NO cost of living increase either in 2010, 2011 or 2012 as I understand it. However, Congress just voted themselves a 3% pay raise FOR EACH YEAR. How do you like that? Congress is getting richer off your poor, crippled asses. And Medicare prescription copays just went up to $5. Talk about fucked in the ass.

Or education...? We are lagging behind Japanese, Chinese and European kids at an astonishing rate... you're lucky to have someone like me who can point out Japan, China and Europe on a map.

These are all enterprises that the federal government has undertaken. You don't need to be a federal employee to know that the guarantee of the federal government isn't worth shit.

Now they want to take over health care.

If you watch the video I posted, and understand some of the key points in it, you'd realize as I do that this is a blind power grab. Bureaucracy and red tape is going to go up, efficiency and ultimately your health is going to go downhill. They are going to decide who gets health care and who doesn't...

And its a good bet that once you cap $10,000, that's it... you've reached the end of your ration. Which means so long, Grandpa, HERE'S SOME MORPHINE... just die already.

Which is one of the more repugnant faces of it. It's only a bit more socially acceptable than taking the undesirables out and shooting them dead, but its repugnant nonetheless. Now for the really repugnant part:

Joe Blow from Mexico is going to get the same health care, and on the chance that he's younger, healthier, and more vibrant than Grandpa, in the eyes of the gubmint he's more worth saving than Gramps who has lived here his whole life, paid taxes his whole life, contributed a lifetime's worth to American society his whole life, and is only now "useless" because he has cancer and is wearing a diaper... never mind that Joe isn't even a citizen of this country.

OTOH, it could be sheer evil genius... indirectly kill off everyone who is elderly, chronically ill, disabled, etc and BANG! You have erased all of those you were previously paying all these bennies to, and you have a younger, healthier, far more vital population... and saved Social Security to boot.

All the better to enslave them and make them do your bidding.

Who would you rather have as your slaves -- a bunch of 25-30 year olds who can do some heavy duty work, or a bunch of 70-80 year olds who can't chew their food let alone lift a finger to do anything in the way of work? My point exactly.

Maybe the only thing to stop this horrendous onslaught against the oldsters would be to have them carry weapons and march on Capitol Hill with the promise that no one who voted for this travesty of a health care reform would leave alive.The politicians have already made clear that they really don't feel like listening to their constituents. That much was made clear to Synapse when he emailed his Senator voicing his opposition to this legislative chunk of rat guts and cat vomit and got back as a reply, "Thank you for supporting Obamacare!"

They will not get my fucking vote again, EVER.
